In this paper, we have investigated the dimentional stability of 1x1 cotton rib knitted fabric depending on some technological parametres such as the loop lengths and the ratio cpi/wpi. The 1x1 rib knitted fabric has been knitted in circular knitting machine with diameter of 26 inches and machine gauge is 18, two kinds of cotton yarns Ne30 and Ne36 were used. The value of loop length and the ratio cpi/wpi have been 2.40, 2.50, 2.65, 2.80, 2.95, 3.10, 3.25 mm and 0.54, 0.55, 0.59, 0.61, 0.64, 0.61, 0.60 respectively for Ne30 cotton yarn and these values have been 2.30, 2.40, 2.55, 2.70, 2.80, 2.95 and 0.56, 0.59, 0.62, 0.62, 0.64, 0.65 respectively for Ne36 cotton yarn. Is was found that: for the 1x1 rib fabric knitted from Ne30 and Ne36 cotton yarn the optimal values of loop length have been 2.50 and 2.40, the best value of ratio cpi/wpi has found 0.55-0.59 respectively for Ne30 and Ne36 cotton yarn. In these technological condidions the 1x1 rib knitted fabrics have good dimensional stability in reaching the equilibrium state and using process, so that they will assure a good fit for kniwear and for pressure gament, especially.
