This article analyzes the basic differences of the lyric self-image in Che Lan Vien's poems throughout three periods: before 1945, from 1945 to 1975 and from 1975 to 1989. In any period, this self-image was expressed in different aspects as directly, indirectly, introvertedly, outrovertedly. This image plays an important role and moves towards the developing tendency in any forms. Besides, it reflects dialectic philosophy with negation, inheritance, development and supplements so as to be suitable with the era spirit and the poetry regulation. The article demonstrates that Che Lan Vien is the poet who is never satisfied with present results
he always searches and experiences to affirm new values in a great creativeness through the different forms of the lyric self-image.
