Frequency of urinary tract stones is high, with a lot of complications, it also can lead to chronic kidney disease (CKD) and End- Stage - Kidney- Diseases. The results showed prevalence of urinary tract stones found was 10.1 percent (100 of 990). A positive history of urinary calculi was detected in 74 percent
87 percent of patients with decline of kidney function demonstrated with glomerular filtration rate GFR 60 mllmin per 1.73/m. 77 patients was confirmed chronic kidney disease with 75.4 percent of patient at stage V. The author also found that there was the associations between glomerular filtration rate (GFR) with the time of stone detected, serum uric acid level and hypertension. In conclusion, urolithiasis remains a serious problem in our department. Patients with stone were at increased risk for a sustained elevated serum creatinine and a sustained reduced GFR. Studies are warranted to assess screening and preventive measures for CKD in urinary tract stone formers.
