There is much that is not good in education in Vietnam nowadays. One is the effect on students and the classroom environment that is the result of teachers' harsh criticism, insults and general bad attitude. This paper analyzes how this state of affairs has come to exist and proposes ways to tone down the verbal abuse teachers currently heap upon students.
