This article discusses real and virtual values of 'gong' culture, a cultural legacy of ethnic minorities in the Truong Son - Central Highlands, based on a syllogism, i.e. 'gong' is the offspring of traditional rituals - At present, a lot of traditional rituals are disappearing due to objective and subjective factors - As a result, the role of 'gong' is gradually fading in the consciousness of those who had created it. From that point, the author gives some opinions on preserving its real values to maintain the life of a legacy.
