Since health facilities are responsible for health care of the population, their leading role in the implementation of Decision 1315/QD-TTg referring smoking ban is very important for the implementation of this decision in other public settings. The study was todescribe knowledge, attitudes and practice of health staff regarding the implementation of the Decision 1315/QD-TTg referring smoking ban in public health facilities in Binh Luc and Kim Bang districts. The results indicated thatesults: among 315 staffs participated in this study, 72.4 percent and 79.4 percent of them could list health facility as a place where the smoking ban is taken effect. The rate of health staff smoked in health facilities was rather high (81.5 percent of smokers), the proportion of health staffs who reminded their colleagues, patients and patients relatives about the smoking ban when seeing them smoking was low ( 50 percent). The managers reported smoking in health facilities 9-fold higher than that of their staffs.
