Objectives: (1) Identify the rate of nurses attain good mark when complying dressing technique for wound care and common errors, (2) explore the association between several risk factors and complying dressing technique for wound care. Method: Cross-sectional study. Subjects: 93 nurses were working in 8 clinical departments of HMU hospital. Results: Most of the participants are high-school nurses (67.7 percent). The rate of nurses obtained good mark and over was very high (51.6 percent high-distinction, 43 percent distinction). The position of working among nurses was only unique factor contributed to gain high distinction score for participants. Type of departments was the only factor contributed to achieve distinction result. Male participants obtained significant lower score compared with female participants (24.16 vs 25.84). The administrative nurses followed the protocol significantly higher than other type of nurses (26.74 vs 24.74). Conclusion: The rate of nurses attained a good mark and over was very high (94.6 percent). The sex, the position of working and type of department were considered as major factors contribute to comply with dressing technique for wound care.
