Researchers have implemented study on situation of safe blood transfusion testing at 250 hospitals at all levels on the Ministry of Health's system (central, provincial, district). The results are as follows: Many hospitals have not yet implemented screening tests for blood donors: 1st-class hospital (26 percent), 2nd-class hospital (35 percent), 3rd-class hospital (45 percent). More than 80 percent of blood collection agents do not implement pre-blood collection testing including HST and HbsAg and HCV screening
and do on manual at provincial and district level, often use fast KIT test. Rate of hospital do not have Rh grouping test, abnormal antibody test, cross-matching test for pre-blood collection: 1st-class hospital: 64 percent, 2nd-class hospital: 59 percent, 3rd-class hospital: 100 percent. Rate of hospitals do not control and monitor blood transfusion safety: Non testing and control the quality of blood transfusion 1st-class hospital: 73 percent, 2nd-class hospital: 62 percent, 3rd-class hospital: 76 percent.
