The rate of infertility are increasing, now. The question is: what about infertility in some areas that were exposed to war chemicals. For answering this question, we carried this study. Objectivies are: -Identifine the rate of infertility in 4 wards surrounding Da Nang airport. -Describe characteristics semen of males in infertile couples in Thanh Khe - Da Nang. Research subjects: couples in the reproductive age, including 8686 couples life around Da Nang airport
10,643 couples in Thai Binh province
35 semen samples in Da Nang, 58 in Thai Binh and 848 semen samples in Hanoi were analysed. Base on the research results, the authors found that: The rate of primary infertility in Thanh Khe is 1.67 percent, higher in Thai Binh (1.30 percent).The rate of secondary infertility in Thanh Khe is 19.02 percent, lower than in Thai Binh (23.81 percent). Characteristics of semen in infertile couples as follow: - The rate of low mobile sperm: 35.97 percent in Hanoi, 26.32 percent in Thanh Khe and 17.24 percent in Thai Binh. - The rate of oligospermia: 25.71 percent in Thanh Khe, 18.51 percent in Hanoi, 25.86 percent in Thai Binh. - The rate of azospermia: 25.71 percent in Thanh Khe, 7.31 percent in Hanoi and 24.13 percent in Thai Binh.
