This paper presents experimental results of cutting parameters setting, coordinate adjustment and wire controlling for manufacturing cone holes on EDM machines. Mastercam software has been used to build machining program of taper holes, made from SKD61. Produced errors in terms of straight dimensions, taper angle accuracy and surface roughness data were collected and analyzed. The results showed that producing taper holes on EDM wire machines offer better cutting ability, higher accuracy and surface roughness, compared to traditional machining. It would be concluded that widening machining ability of EDM wire machines is very promising way to contribute to training and technology transfers actions.
