This paper presents the results on the synthesis and characterization of CuInS2 nanocrystals synthesized in diesel. With increasing reaction-growth temperature and growth time the synthesized nanocrystals become bigger. For the reaction-growth temperature of 210-230oC and the growth time from 5 to 60 min, the obtained CuInS2 nanocrystals emit at 628 to 712 nm, correspondingly. The absortion and photoluminescence studies of the synthesized CuInS2 nanoparticle show clearly the quantum confinement.
