Connectivism was described by George Siemens in response to the development and evaluation of traditional learning theories in the digital era, where knowledge is expanding rapidly due to information technology applications. This learning theory is able to adapt to a dynamic learning style that adapts to a flat world and the worldwide spread of knowledge. This paper does not focus on the details of connectivism, but rather on key concepts and ideas of this theory which the author associates with the concept of a learning ecosystem and the movement of knowledge. At the same time, a framework for an implementation of an information technology environment for a learning ecosystem is suggested which could expand the extent of learning achieved by society.
