The study was carried out to identify the prevalence of lower genital tract infections among female sex workers in the Hanoi Social Education Labor Centre (Camp 02) in 2009-2011. The results showed that the prevalence of lower genital tract infections of female sex workers in Camp 02 was highly (67.1 percent). Common disease was vulvar-vaginal infections (42.0 percent), followed by vaginal infections alone (14.0 percent). The common agent of the lower genital tract infections was complex vaginal bacteria (40.0 percent). The prevalence of the Trichomonas vaginalis was 3.9percent and prevalence of both syphilis and HIV were 2.2 percent. There were a link between Leveus fungal infections and complex vaginal bacteria with vaginal infections alone, between Trichomonas vaginalis infections with cervical infection (with p 0.05). In conclusion, the prevalence of lower genital tract infections of female sex workers was highly. Common disease was vulvar-vaginal infections. The common agent of the lower genital tract infections was complex bacterial.
