With funding from the Global Fund project, Vietnam authorized of HIV/AIDS Control and National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology conjucted intergrated survey on behavior with the sampling method in HIV/STI sentinel surveillance among the highrisk groups to answer key questions on risk behaviors and coverage of the intervention program helps to provide timely information for policy makers. In Ha Nam, the survey was carried out on 300 injecting drug users (IDUs) in 03 project districts of the Global Fund with sampling method in HIV/STI sentinel surveillance. With HIV prevalence was 15 percent, the percentage of needle sharing among IDUs was 4.7 percent and the percentage of condom use during the last sexual relationship with sex worker, wife/lover and casual sexual partners of IDUs were 81.8 percent, 41.4 percent and 16.7 percent, respectively, Ha Nam needs to promote harm reduction interventions and increase the coverage of preventive intervention programs for IDUs.
