This study was carried out to indentify the infertility rate, factors from wife related to infertility of the surveyed couples in 2010 in Ba Vi district. The results showed that fertility rates in the group with age from 30 to 39 is high significantly OR = 2.85 (95 percent CI: 1.89 to 4.38). The wives are exposed to chemicals (OR = 2.61 (95 percent CI of OR: 2.04 to 3.36), alcohol (OR = 5.58, 95 percent CI = 2.21 to 13.43) related to infertility, irregular menstrual cycle have 2.23 times infertility risk higher than the regular ones OR = 2.23 (95 percent CI of OR: 1.68 to 3.07). The wife has a history of vaginitis, bloody discharge has a high infertile risk significantly with OR = 2.51 and 1.75 and 4.84. Cardiovascular disease associated significantly with infertility OR = 3.97 (95 percent CI of OR: 1.65 to 8.94). In conclusion, the wives aged 30 - 39 have higher infertility rates in other age groups
Some factors such as irregular menstrual cycle, genital tract infection associated with infertility
the wife's alcoholism related to infertility.
