Purpose: to describe and discuss a case of scleritis due to Nocardia, a rare ocular infectious microorganism agent, first time discovered in Vietnam. Method: clinical description. Result: a 33 years old female patient is referred to hospital due to pain eye with white necrotic lesion on sclera. Actinomyces is found on smears. Patient is treated with Curam (oral) and Ciloxan (topical) but the lesion is not improved. All lesions are taken by surgery then smears and culture are done. Nocardia is confirmed on culture and sensitive with Ceftazidime. After treatment with Ceftazidime, the scleritis is resolved. The lesion is completely healed after 3 weeks. Finding out the cause of scleritis as Nocardia promoted treatment and facilitate the outcome of scleritis. Conclusion: Nocardia is defined as a rare cause of scleritis in the first time in Vietnam. Treatment according microbiological sensitive is effective way to solve the problem.
