Muong (Muong ethnic) people constitute one of the ethnic groups in Vietnam. They live in almost all provinces of the country, but a majority resides in Hoa Binh province. The cultural value of Muong people in Hoa Binh was formed a long time ago, based on 4 large Muong (villages), including Bi, Vang, Thang, and Domg. Besides common cultural characteristics, Muong people in each local area have different activities involved with the marriage ceremony. The paper focuses on analyzing and recognizing cultural identities of Muong people in Hoa Binh province shown in their traditional marriage rituals.
