In 2012 and 2013, the research on effects of planting times (25/3, 15/4, 15/5, 15/6, 15/7 and 15/8) on growth, yield and sugar accumulation of sweet sorghum KCS105 was conducted at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. The result showed that different planting times from March to August had no significant effect on growth duration. The sowing time from March to July had litter effect on plant growth parameters such as plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, plant height and Brix content of this variety. However, these parameters significant decreased when KCS105 was sown in August. In the same trend, biomass yield of stem, sugar yield and ethanol yield were not significant difference among planting times from March to July but these figures clearly decreased when KCS105 was planted in August. In conclusion, KCS105 can be grown well at different planting times from March to July.
