Building model "Integrated ALES and GIS for land evaluation" for land evaluation is necessary in the agricultural land use" GIS is being used to produce thematic maps, land mapping unit (LMU) by using various map overlaying functionalities. The application of GIS, however, only allows users to create Land Mapping Unit, to identify the suitability of land units with a variety of particular crops requiring the software which can automatically analyze output from LMU to be based on specific programming for LUT components. On basis of LUT identification, land characteristics and land use requirements (LUR). Ales enables to set up LUR in each LUT and LC by using decision tree to identify suitable areas for LUT. Particularly, Ales is able to summarize, assess, and provide quick statistics, and be likely export directly for GIS software via a common field (Id...). GIS, therefore, easily creates layout for Land Suitability Map from data from which ALES created. This model has demonstrated the success and greatness in Land Suitability Assessment for Sugarcane cultivation in some local communities in northern Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang Province.
