A simple, sensitive and selective HPLC method for determination of Glipizide has been evaluated. Methods using C18 column (4.6x250mm, 5um) and mobile phase (acetonitrile-buffer, 0.05M KH2PO4 adjusted to pH 3.5 with orthophosphoric acid), and UV detector at 223 nm wavelength, speed lines 1.0 ml/min and the sample injection volume of 20 ul. This method has been evaluated for specificity, linearity, repeatability, accuracy. Linear range of solution concentrations were determined glipizid between 0.5 to 20 micrograms/ml and the detection limit is 0,5ug/ml of sample. The average accuracy of 99.90 percent with a relative standard deviation (RSD) is less than 2 percent. Repeatability and reproducibility was found to be good with RSD less than 2 percent. The method can be used to determine the concentration of glipizid in the sample.
