Microteaching has been applied in the 4th year program of the Bachelor Degree of Language Teacher Education at the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS-VNU) for several years. This practice has been claimed to benefit 4th-year students who are preparing for their teaching practicum and future teaching career. This study exploited survey questionnaires and classroom observations with the data set collected from 122 respondents and 10 microteaching sessions in order to provide a deep analysis on the application of this teaching method in the course of English Language Teaching Methodology of the Faculty of English Language Teacher Education (FELTE) - ULIS - VNU. Overall, the study suggests that the microlessons were performed in relatively the same length of time as real school lessons. In general, teacher-learners highly appreciated the practice of microteaching and the teaching techniques provided in the course. Several practical recommendations were also given with a view to enhancing the efficiency of micro teaching in the context of FELTE.
