Commercial bank is an intermediary financial institution, performing business activities in monetary field. When a bank failure occurs, if not handled properly, it can spread out quickly and lead to the collapse of the whole commercial bank system. The problem is that one specific liquidity risk management can not apply successfully to all commercial banks in general. Thus, the matter of liquidity risk management should be paid appropriate attention by strategy planners. This article refers to the status of liquidity risk management in commercial banks in Vietnam over the years 2012-2014, and provides some solutions to improve liquidity risk managing in Vietnam's commercial banks.
