Retrospective study on 79 patients over 18 years old under Transabdominal Preperitoneal Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair (TAPP) at Viet Tiep - Hai Phong hospital from 1/2012 to 10/2014 showed that TAPP Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repairis highly effective, safe, easy technique with short training time. Results: Classification by anatomic location: indirect: 27.86 percent. Nyhus Classification: Class II: 27.86 percent, type IIIb: 8.86 percent. Average operation time is 35 +/- 15.3 minutes. 63/79 patients (90.00 percent) had good results, fair results: 6/79 patients (8.57 percent). Conclusion: Transabdominal laparostopic hernioplasty using Prolene mesh is safe and effective.
