HBV infection is one of the most popular infection in the world. In hyperendemic regions, prevalence of HBV infection in pregnant women in very high (10 - 14 percent). Mother to child transmission (vertical transmission) is the main way of transmission in these regions. Vertical transmission without any preventive measures in about 5-90 percent, depending on HBeAg or viral load HBV DNA of mothers. Active (vaccination) and passive immunization (Hepatitis B Immunoglobulin injection) in the first 24 h have high effect for HBV prevention. Preventive treatment with NAs (lamivudine, telbivudine, tenofovir) in last 3 months in mothers with high viral load is effective.
