Objective: Evaluation of the metabolic syndrome in patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Subject and method: 183 patients with psoriasis vulgaris treated at Department of Dermato-Venereology and Allergology - No.108 Military Central Hospital from January 2012n to January 2015. Prospective, crosssectional descriptive controlled study. Result and conclusion: The prevalence of the metabolic syndrome was 26.2 percent in psoriasis group, significant higher than that in control group (4.1 percent), p0.05.
