Objective: Investigating amount of microbial flora on the hand of medical staff at the No.108 Military Central Hospital (108 MCH) before and after using quick hand-wash solution containing nano silver. Subject and method: 108 skin samples taken from the hands of the medical staffs at the No.108 MCH in November 2013. "Glove Juice" method was used for collecting samples. The isolation and identification procedures were applied with routine microbiology laboratory. Result and conclusion: The amount of bacteria were 2.5x104 and 10x106 CFU in average on 1cm2 hand skin and one hand of medical staff before washing, respectively. After using quick hand-wash solution containing nano silver, this amount significantly decreased to 0.175 bacteria/1cm2 skin. Especially, only staphylococcal epidemic was isolated after washing hands.
