Objective: Application of science and technology in the strategic ranking military hospital plays an important role in improvement of high quality medical care. It is essential to evaluate the actual state of science and technology applications in clinical practice and propose solutions to promote the application of science and technology in the strategic ranking military hospitals. Subject and method: The study was conducted at 120 units / departments and 180 experts from four strategic ranking Military Hospitals. Result: 81.7 percent of departments used modern equipments and advanced technology, 75.8 percent of the units / departments had staffs being trained abroad, 32.5 percent of units had innovative research of equipments, 45.8 percent of unit had studies in improvement of examination and treatment process and protocols
75 percent had cooperation with other hospitals in the country and 46.7 percent had international cooperation in research and treatment. 98 percent, 97 percent and 94.9 percent were interested in applied science, clinical science and IT applications in examination and treatment as well as hospital management
respectively. 94 percent of experts were interested in the evidence-based science
100 percent agreed that it was very important to have a strategic plan for medical science and technology development
83 percent had an available team of experts ready to access to modern equipments and advanced technologies in the world. Conclusion: Evaluation of actual state of science and technology application forms an important basis to determine a strategy for development and to propose appropriate solutions in promoting and bringing science and technology into practical healthcare of the military medical sector generally and of strategic-ranking Military Hospitals particularly.
