Objective: To access the role of liver volume (LV) using computed tomography (CT-Scan) in selecting the treatment modality for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Subject and method: Eighty-six patients with hepatocellular carcinoma were estimated the Remnant Liver Volume/Body Weight Ratio (RLV/BW) by CT-Scanner. These patients were divided into two groups: Group A with RLV/BW or 1 percent and the portal vein embolization was considered when RLV/BW1 percent.
