Objective: Contribution to the rate of blood groups and family history factors in inflammatory disease, stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers at the Phuc Lam International General Hospital. Subject and method: 150 patients were endoscopically investigated family history and blood tests at the Phuc Lam International General Hospital from January to December 2011. Result: There were 50/150 patients with gastritis, gastric ulcer 53/150 patients and 47/150 patients with duodenal ulcer. The rate of patients with gastritis, gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers did not differ significantly (p0.05). Blood groups in the rate of gastric and duodenal as follows: Gastritis: Group A: 35.4 percent, B: 39.2 percent, AB: 50.0 percent, O: 25.8 percent. Peptic ulcer: Group A: 42.0 percent, B: 31.4 percent, AB: 16.7 percent, O: 37.1 percent. Duodenal ulcer: Group A: 22.6 percent, B: 29.4 percent, AB: 16.7 percent, O: 37.1 percent. The percentage of patients with a family history of blood related to the following groups: group O 46.8 percent, 35.5 percent group A, group B 25.5 percent and 16.7 percent group AB. Conclusion: Blood type O is related to family history of gastroduodenal disease higher than the other types.
