In recent years, Vietnam's health insurance policies have obtained many achievements, not only in financial supports but also in positive impacts on health care for many people. The implementation of health insurance policies has also supported many people in difficult circumstances, creating opportunities for them in access to healthcare services. However, the implementation of the health insurance policies faces some difficulties in some specific groups, such as workers in enterprises, pupils, students, children under 6, the near poor people, and households. If these difficulties are overcome, it will promote the quality of health care for people, improving social equality and equity.
