The aim of this study was to provide useful information for exposure evaluation and risk (assessment of Nha Trang consumers to cadmium contaminants due to molluscous and crustaceous consumption. Cadmium contamination levels have been investigated by Inductively Coupled Plasma- Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) from May 2008 to January 2009 in some molluscs and crustaceans popularly consumed. This study shows that cadmium concentrations in molluscs and crustaceans in local markets in Nha Trang are range from 0.012 to 0.073 mg/kg and within the maximum limit of regulatory of Vietnam (46/2007/QD-BYT) and European community (1881/2006/EC).
