During 7 months of gathering information from the fisheries management agencies and 120 giant freshwater prawn farmers in the rice fields of the 03 communes in Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province to assess the situation and develop sustainable solutions giant freshwater prawn farming in rice fields. The survival rate after 06 months of shrimp farming is relatively low 22.6 +/- 14.0 percent, harvest size from 33.5 +/- 5.0 g/shirmp, the average yield was 0.14 +/- 0.19 tons/farmer/year. Rice fields of sustainable development solutions should be selected farms average area of farm 0.5 ha and correct improvement process before stocking.
