Objective: To assess the efficacy of Eucerin Dry Skin Soothing Lotion 12 percent Omega Eucerin Sensitive Skin, pH5 Washlotion in treating skin dryness in atopic dermatitis. Method: A prospective study was carried out in 30 atopic dermatitis patients who had stopped topical steroids and antihistamines. All the patients were prescribed Eucerin Dry Skin Soothing Lotion 12 percent Omega and Eucerin Sensitive Skin, pH5 Washlotion to treat their skin dryness. DASI was used to assess the dry skin condition and DLQI, DFI were used to assess the patients' quality of life. Results: The average age is 19.95 years old, the minimum is 3 months old and the maximum is 65 years old. At the baseline, 43.3 percent of the patients had mild dry skin, the rest had moderate dry skin. After the treatment, DASI remarkably decreased from 119.5 to 12. The group of under 2 years old responded best to the treatment, followed by 2-12 years old group and the least responding group is over 12 years old. 83.3 percent of the patients responding moderately after 2-week-treatment responded well after 4-weektreatment. The rate of pruritis and sleep loss fall from 73.3 percent to 29.6 percent. Patients' quality of life indexes have improved significantly. Only 1 patient suffered from allergic contact dermatities due to using the lotion. The products were highly recommended by majority of the patients (63.3 percent).
