Covid 19 patients often present with elevated D-dimer levels. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of D-Dimer levels in Covid 19 patients to predict mortality and venous thromboembolism (VTE) events. This is a retrospective chart review study from 1 April 2020 to 30 June 2020, during the peak Covid pandemic. A total of 350 patients were enrolled in this study
69 (19.7%) patients died
12 (3.4%) had a deep venous thrombosis
