OBJECTIVE: The role of natural killer (NK) cells, which mediate innate immunity, in the immune reconstitution of people living with HIV (PLWH) remains unclear. Our previous research indicated that early activation of CD56 METHODS: This study included 66 PLWH who had been on ART for 4 years, comprising 32 INRs and 34 IRs. Using flow cytometry, we examined the expression of cell receptors and ligands for NK cells and CD4 RESULTS: The expression of NKG2D ligands, including MICA/B and ULBP2-5, on CD4 CONCLUSION: The upregulation of related ligands for the NKG2D receptor on CD4
