Transcanal endoscopic techniques have transformed the external ear canal into an operative gateway. The evolution history of endoscopic ear instruments has always been driven by the surgeon's demand in certain procedures. Because simple procedures (such as drilling and curetting) in microscopic postaural approach might become extremely difficult in the settings of Endoscopic ear surgery with the transcanal approach. This necessitated the need for the modifications in the existing instrumentation to be used efficiently during EES. In this manuscript, we describe the modified curette by imparting an angle at its distal end and describe the advantages of it.
