ConspectusDearomatization of simple aromatics serves as one of the most direct strategies for converting abundant chemical feedstocks into three-dimensional value-added products. Among such transformations, cycloadditions between arenes and alkenes have historically offered effective means to construct complex polycyclic architectures.
