Diabetic mellitus management extends beyond blood glucose monitoring to the essential task of mitigating the overexpression of reactive oxygen species (ROS), particularly vital for cellular repair, especially within the nervous system. Herein, antioxidant carbon dots (Arg-CDs) were designed and prepared using anhydrous citric acid, L-arginine, and ethylenediamine as sources through a hydrothermal method.
