BACKGROUND: Intimate partner violence is quite common around the world. AIM: This study aims to determine the attitudes toward partner violence in men and to evaluate their attitudes toward violence according to narcissistic characteristics and attachment styles. METHOD: This study was conducted using descriptive cross-sectional methods. Data has been collected by using The Experiences in Intimate Relationship Inventory (EIRI), The Pathological Narcissism Inventory (PNI), and Attitude Scales Toward Dating Violence (ASTDV). RESULTS: There was a positive correlation between the PSV and PV of ASTDV in the anxiety sub-dimension of the EIRI-2 ( CONCLUSION: In this study, it was determined that attitudes toward psychological and physical violence in men were directly related to anxious attachment, pathological narcissism, expectations of being noticed, fragile self, grandiose dreams, and self-sacrifice. Increasing the duration of the relationship with the partner, living in a village or town, having more siblings, having a father with a low level of education, and having a mental disorder under treatment constitute a risk for increasing positive attitudes toward psychological and physical violence in men.
